Our Story

AISavingsForSMBs didn't start with a business plan. It started with a frustration almost every small business owner knows by heart. My name is Hal Schaefer, and I'm a founder of AISavingsForSMBs, I've spent years as an entrepreneur and small business owner, and I know where the hours actually go. They don't all go into the work you love — the customers, the craft, the jobs you're proud of. Instead, all too often it’s the same information typed into three different places. Invoices chased at nine o'clock at night. Quotes that take three days because there's no time to write them faster. A phone ringing in an empty office while you're out doing the real work. Paperwork that follows you home and eats your evenings whole.

I figured that was just the cost of owning a business. Then I started using AI; first I dabbled with it as though it was a personal toy. Then I began taking certified AI courses. As I became more comfortable, and AI became more trustworthy, I deployed it as one of my staff to do some of the more time consuming & mundane work - the drafts, the organizing, the research, the reminders, the hundred small jobs that used to sit on my desk waiting for an hour I never had.

It worked wonders. Hours came back. The pile got smaller. And the part that surprised me most: nothing about it replaced anybody. It did the opposite — it let a small operation punch at the weight of a much bigger one, with the same people, doing more of the work that actually mattered.

So I looked around Fairfield County, and it was obvious I was not alone. That's why AISavingsForSMBs exists. To help myself while helping others. We're local, so when “we” walk into your business to talk about AI, it’s from a personal experience you will come to trust. I had the same frustrations you have, but was able to reduce my load.
